Tempo quente na AGU
Foi dura, muito dura, a conversa ocorrida no início da noite de segunda-feira entre Sérgio Tostes, advogado da família brasileira do menino Sean Goldman, e José Antônio Toffoli, advogado-geral da União.
Tostes queixou-se do que considerou envolvimento excessivo da AGU numa questão que envolve um brasileiro nato. Toffoli disse que trabalhava para o seu cliente, ou seja a União.
Foi uma reunião tão áspera quanto rápida na sede da AGU.

A propósito, a decisão da Justiça Federal sobre o destino de Sean - ou seja, se ele continua no Brasil ou se vai para os EUA - deve sair a qualquer momento.

It was hard, very hard, the conversation occurred last Monday( evening between Sergio Tostes, JPLS’s lawyer, and José Antonio Toffoli, chief of Union General Advocate.
 
Tostes complained about the excessive involvement of the AGU in the case that involving a Brazilian born. Toffoli said that his is working for your client, in the case the Union (Brazil)
 
It was a rough meeting as quickly as headquarters at the AGU.

To me, this statement is meaningless. As a teacher, I often say to my students to do something and they respond, ''I'm about to. . .'' This statement too has no meaning as it could mean they will do it in one second or one year. I have been waiting for more than one year for a ruling (and I'm not alone).

Actually, having been registered in the Brazilian Consulate, Sean is also Brazilian. Of course they ignore the part that he was born inside the US, he is American and as someone (Grace or Liesl78, can't remember which one of two) pointed out he is even able to be the President of the US! That's how American he is.
