The pot has been well and truly stirred anyway. I have had an email from a 'friend of the family' saying that Rebeca has 'mental problems', by which I presume she means 'learning difficulties'. The 'family' will use this as a way of maintaining control over her whether she reaches majority or not and the Brazilian courts will acquiesce. I have nothing to lose by doing this :-)
Just when you think things can't get any worse. Is there a chance that this 'friend of the family' is actually forewarning you about their schemes? Not sure if you would even be given a chance to prove their story wrong.
Would have loved to send a 'Happy Birthday' email to your child. I can't get myself to send it through her grandfather, who is enabling this illegal retention.
So sorry to hear about this new twist. But remember what Prime Minister Churchill once said: "If you're going though Hell, keep going".
