Thanks for posting these. It is very unfortunate that NBC chose not to place David's story in the larger context of the problem of international child abduction, and highlight how his case and the grassroots organization that helped bring about Sean's return offers hope to other LBPs. Especially since they had the footage!!!

If I had been producing the story, I would have chosen to end the story with the three above clips, which would have only taken up approximately 5 minutes of airtime. Blown opportunity in front of 11 million viewers, as opposed to the several thousand that will bother to look at the web exclusive video.

I completely agree. I would have been happy with ONE of the three videos. I wonder if NBC produced these in response to the feedback that they got from BSH.

Chuckles:
I don't know when they all went up, but I suspect the fact that they have been so well done and were posted so quickly indicates a proactive stance on NBC's part rather than a reaction to our - ahem - mild frustration with their editorial decisions.  They either knew it was going to be upsetting and did it for that reason or they know it's an important angle, but just didn't fit in with their narrative (and, quite possibly, didn't want to look like shills for BSH - they might have been stung by the flight criticism :nixweiss:).
