Hi guys:

I believe Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister, Lawrence Cannon, is going to be a guest on a national TV program in Canada called "Question Period" today at 11.00 am EST. It is hosted by two political journalists and basically puts politicians on the hotseat to hold them accountable.

This would be a great chance to email questions about what he (or his FA associates) are doing to help with Francois Larivee's case.

This link describes the program:

And this is the relevant email address:

ctvquestionperiod@ctv.ca

(Excuse the late notice, I just found out)

Just a suggestion, it may be helpful to include info about both David Goldman's and Francois' stories.

Here's a link to an interview the same network did w/ David last year:
http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNew...0217?hub=World

And an article about David:

The recent one about the Larivee case:

It looks like they're focusing on Haiti but even so, it would still be helpful to email even later, because it will bring the story to the attention of these journalists and also, they're likely to interview other Foreign Affairs officials in future.

Thanks so much.

I just sent off an email to the show and hope that it does get answered. I did notice
that is also airs at different times in the other provinces.

Hopefully others have seen your post and sent off emails as well.

That's great, thanks Pam! It's usually pretty slow on the forum on Sundays but even if people email later, it would be helpful because one of the interviewers is also a print journalist for a major newspaper and they will interview politicians on future shows.

I did mention both François' and David's case. I thought perhaps mentioning both and asking why there isn't more being done for François such as was done in the US might spark a discussion as well as more awareness.

Lexi, is there an online link to watch this show live? Thanks.

Hope it helps.

On the right hand side, just below the bios it has a link to watch the latest show. Not sure if that means live or only after it's done (or perhaps both) Agree, it's good to mention both cases.

Edit: Believe you can watch both live and after. Sorry, I had logged out.
