Does anyone know if there is a Summer break for Congress? .. like there was a two week spring break for them.

It looks like Congress is not in session July 5 - 11  (July 4th is a Sunday) which is their Independence Day District Work Period and August 9 - September 12, which is their official Summer District Work Period.  Both houses resume September 13th.  I assume this means you could still reach them at their District offices.

FYI... if anyone wants to send Rob Andrews (1st district NJ) an e-mail, you can use the following address (in his district):

Berlin, NJ 08009-1687

... still pushing to get more NJ reps to support HR 3240 and hres1326 before their summer break...

Oh .. and if anyone wants to send an e-mail to John Adler (3rd district) they can use this address:

Cherry Hill, NJ 08003-1109

.. maybe he'll pay attention if the e-mails come from his district ?

However, we won't see his name on Thomas.gov until congress is back in session next week

Brandy Bond and I met with Ron White of Congressman Forbes (R-VA): we initially went in with a proposed VA bill but he doesn't handle that so we pitched HR3240 instead - White is looking at it and will brief rep Forbes on it with a view to being a co-sponsor.

We'll keep you posted.

Karl, I've heard that before from Congressman Forbes office "He'll look into it" .

But maybe your presence will make more of the difference than my phone calls (from out of state ). Let's hope!

Karl, Thanks for the update. I do hope that thay your presence does make a difference.

Does anyone know if we have any chance of moving H.R. 3240 forward with a lamb
duck congress? I know we discussed it more than likely won't happen but I was
just curious if anyone has heard any more news.
