LORENZO AYUBO Abduction case
« on: March 13, 2009, 08:14:17 AM »
My son Lorenzo Ayubo was kidnap and taken to Brazil on August 23,2004. What was supposed to be a 2 week visit with his Mother Rita Guimaraes. I didn't know that its was the last time I will see my son again. Lorenzo was only 3 1/2 then. When it was time for them to come home. I waited at the airport not knowing at the same time. Rita was at filling custody rights in Brazil. I even paid for their tickets and drove them to airport. I should have realized then that something was wrong when Rita didn't called to let me know that they got Brazil safely. Her dimeaner has changed and when I asked to speak with my Lorenzo. She would say he's sleeping or not there, or he's playing or many many excuses. I didn't know that Rita was going to do this. I have contacted our elected officials all the way up to the white house with no luck. Just like my friend Dave goldman. I was going through with Lorenzo as Dave going through with Sean. I'm glad that Dave Goldman is getting the international media attention on Seans case. Finally people as well as our elected officials are finally taken notice of what we are going through. We are going through many many obstacles to get our children here in the US. Last year in 2007. A brasilian judge finally made a decision and did what was morally right. Before,my case would go from one judge to another without making any decision and let time just go by. After 4 years.A judge finally orders the released of my son and orders Lorenzo home. I am fighting many many obstacles with the Brasilian judiscial system. When my son was ordered to go home. It went to a mediator and he said that my son stays in Brazil. I have to wait till the appeal process takes place and that took another year. Then a different court said that my son stays because my son is in Brazil too long. Why should I be punished by the Brasilian judiscial system because my case went from on judge to another and has taken this long! My son Lorenzo is 8 years old now. My wife family has many influences in the town were my son is. It seen that they are awarding this to parent that illegaly takes a child to Brazil. It seems to me that a person like Rita or Bruna and many others can kidnap our children and bring them to Brazil because Brasilian judiscial system will award the kidnapers who took them. Many many people here in the US and as well as the many many compasionate Brasilian people are outrage with the Brasilian judicial system. I truely think they they don't know what we are going through. We love our children just as much the people who is making the decision in these matter love their children. How many more left behind parent will have go sleep at night without their children because the Brasilian government is priventing them from their children. They don,t know that we still keep their rooms the same as if they have never left. Because it the only link that they have left with their children. We keep our childrens cloths even though their children have grown because we missed our children dearly. They don't that I keep my son Lorenzo cloths and sleep with it at my side at night because it still has my son scent on it. I guess in my mind. It the only thing I have left that brings me that much closer to my son. They don't know that I can't even be in the same place or area were we used to live because everything reminds me of my son. I can't drive in that area, or parks, playground, stores, supermarket. Every place where I took my son I can't go because the pain is so great knowing that my son is no longer with me. Everything I did was for Lorenzo. I love my son! My father was a good man. I couldn't aked for a better father, My father was everything to me. I love him dearly too. He has given me everything that I could every asked as a father. I wanted to give the same for my ouwn son. My fathers name is Lorenzo too. My son was named after my father. So now. I am pleading to the Americann people as well the people of Brazil. PLEASE BRING OUR CHILDREN BACK HOME. Bring Lorenzo, Sean and all the other children back home to us that was illegaly taken from us. Let us do what morally right. Ariel Ayubo

Ariel,  Thank you for sharing your story here with us. I feel so bad for you and all the left behind parents, that are in the same situation. I can tell from your words, how badly you miss Lorenzo, and how hard you are trying to get him back.
As I have told other parents here on this board, I'm sure that all the attention that is being given to David and Seans case, will have a postive affect on all the rest of the cases. No parent deserves to go through this kind of hearbreak. No child deserves to be seperated from a loving parent. It is not fair and all of you deserve justice.
I am committed in helping David and Sean be together as father and son should be. I am also committed in helping every left behind parent here. We are in this together, for as long as it takes. Until each and every child is returned back to the US, back in the arms of their loving, caring parent who missed them so. Never give up....keep hope .....keep fighting.....Lorenzo will be back in your arms one day soon.

We are (as I say on other threads) going to be a well oiled machine with who to contact, call, write, what action to take, by the time we're done with David.  David is great practice to have while we go on to fight for all other parents and children.
Give MORE these:hug:  & LESS these :argue:

I emailed my Senators today, in Florida, and added in a paragraph about Lorenzo's abductions.  Something must be done to 'right this wrong'.
"Every parent who has a child and they tuck him in at night, or her in at night, and they wish the best and only the best and they will always protect the child and do whatever they can, but most of the time they don't have to prove it. I'm in the proving grounds, to myself and to my child.  I have to get him home and I will do whatever I have to. I'll never stop to save him."  --David Goldman

Thank Bree. A few weeks ago. I was in Senator Mel Matinez, John Mica, and Bill Nelson here in Florida trying to push support for Dave's resolution. A representative of each party said that they will support the resolution for Dave. I was also pushing a similar resolution for my son Lorenzo. I didn't get any response on my son. I will keep trying and thank you for considering me. I am greatful. Ariel

Hi Ariel,  I am working on the project to contact left-behind parents Senators.  I am contacting yours right now & hope all of us here at BSH can help you get your son Lorenzo home.  I am truly sorry you have suffered these injustices.  I hold hope that David's case will end with Sean home & that it will educate Brazil to comply w/ The Hague & return all the Hague children.  Thank you for sharing your story & know we won't forget you.

Hi Aida. I personaly don't have any hate for Brazil or its paople. I think that Brazil is a beautiful place and it people are just as compasionate. It's the individual who did  this should be accounted for. It judiscial system is flawed when it comes to the hague treaty is concerned. I have no bad malaced toward Brazil of any sort or it people. That just me. I think that any parent who takes their children from another parent just for personal gain is a crime. Ariel

To have been lived here in this wonderful country for 12 years now, where there is justice for either rich or poor, young or old, citizens or non-citizens and to compare it to the country I came from (Brazil) it is just sad and shameful. Why do we have to be living in such misery without our dearly children while the ones who have done wrong get away with things like this. It is just unbelivable! It is hard to keep faith in the justice system in Brazil but we need to remember that there's a much higher, powerful and merciful being that's above all man and all creatures that's looking up to us who suffer and only HIM knows what we need to be better persons. Let's keep doing our part and HE will do his. Have faith!!!

I think it's evident that these people flee to Brazil as fugitives not because they WANT to live there or its such a beautiful place...truth is it can't be that great, as they wouldn't have left to come here to America to begin with. Everyone wants the AMERICAN DREAM...unfortunately some of us are living with a BRAZILIAN NIGHTMARE

Mr. Ayubo, do you happen to have the NCIC number for your son's case? I would like to put him on my site but cannot do so without one.
