Karl,

That is wonderful news. Wish there was something we could do. What happens next and if we keep the link, will it keep us up to date? Ohhhhhhh I hope this is one step closer in getting Emily back.

I'm so happy for you Carl.   It would seem to me that you have an excellent chance of winning, due to the fact that your case was even accepted at this level.  Everyone should benefit from this due to the publicity it should generate.   I wish you all the best and pray your nightmare will soon end.   Diane

I received the docketing statement from SCOTUS which is being forwarded today.  At the same time I received a letter from Sheila's lawyer in Florida - they have withdrawn from the case!

Very interesting, Karl!  I guess the case got a little bigger than they could handle.  Hopefully you will hear something (positive) soon.

Karl,
I hope your nightmare ends soon and you can be with Emily forever.  Go get them Karl and prove all their deceptions and cruelty. You are a great Dad!

Karl,
Does the withdrawal of Sheila's counsel mean that your petition is automatically granted "by default", or is there some other action forthcoming from the court?

Sheila can find another attorney or file pro se and responses need not be filed with the court.  After that, the court will then decide whether the case is "cert worthy" which means 4 justices must vote to hear the issue - I have a long way to go yet.
