Financial and, or security concerns loom very large for most LBPs and it is the probable reasons most people give up at some point. Do you feel comfortable sharing the specific reasons for feeling your security is at risk, other than the obvious, about traveling to a country where the abductor has all their families and friends supporting them, also normal travel issues in third world countries. Without support of any kind from the U.S. state dept. in attending these hearings, all LBPs have to feel extremely vulnerable.
