:burn:The OAB President expressed his "outraged reaction" against "the USA interference in an independent State judiciary system", and stated "the USA needs to stop its interferrence in the brazilian litigation of Sean Goldman's case". See info

:conf: I made a comment under the article referring him to the 9 page article by the brazilian Federal Judge who clarifies that under the brazilian law, Sean can not even be considered a brazilian citizen, due to the illegal procedures that took place since he was retained in Brazil without the permission of his biological father: :cheer: http://www.conjur.com.br/2009-mar-14/imprudente-manter-menino-norte-americano-situacao-irregular-pais

:D I suggest all brazilians to send this link to everyone they can, as it was written by a brazilian federal judge in accordance to the law. He calls Sean, "the american boy improperly retained in Brazil" - and suggests it is prudent to send him back to his country (USA).

:rolleyes:There will always be some people who will take any issue to attempt to grand stand.  I would email him and say Brazil is not as developed a country as the United States but it is not Nicaragua either.  The country has changed in the last 20 years & Yankee Imperialism speeches are above Brazil dignity today.

I have sent the following request to the American Bar Assoc.  If you know a lawyer or you are a lawyer you should write the ABA and request that they make a public statement to the OAB.
The OAB (Brazil's National Organization of Lawyers) has made formal media statements regarding the US involvement in the Sean Goldman kidnapping and the Brazilian lawyer trying to have the US Father's name, taken off of Sean's birth certificate.  Where is the ABA in the media and making a statement from the US on Ethics, the Hague Treaty and the formal recognition that Brazil isn't handling it right and that the lawyer Joćo Paulo Lins e Silva would be disbarred if in the US for his lies and actions.  You have the ability to research this and make a strong statement in the press and to the OAB to support ethics for lawyers and judiciary as well as recognition of the Hague Treaty and children's rights to their real parent and the US parent's rights to their own child.

Because Lins e Silva is a lawyer you have a duty and professional standard to get involved and make a statement.  If you go to BringSeanHome.org you can be provided with contact information to the Today Show and many other's following this case.  You should draft a formal response to the OAB from the US ABA and have it delivered to the OAB, press and BringSeanHome.org as well as printed in your Journal.  Your journal should also ask what attorney's here are working with attorneys in Brazil on business or other matters and request a formal conversation about the OAB using ethics standards to disbar Lins e Silva and get an appology from the president of the OAB for being irritated and not upholding ethics and standards or support of the Hague Treaty over this rich group of lawyers.   Enron in the Judiciary in Brazil?  It isn't right and puts a blemish on all lawyers internationally if the Law Associations around the world do not speak up for what is right and for the ethics of the profession (not use of the profession to twist things to get your way, like legal kidnapping of this child).

We'll look forward to what the ABA does.  I will let many groups know that you have been formally requested to have the ABA respond to the OAB.
