Susan Boyle on "Britain's Got Talent"
« on: April 19, 2009, 10:20:53 PM »
I believe American Idol is a spin off from this British show. This contestant, Susan Boyle, recently appeared and "brought down the hall."

Note the number of views +31 million.

She Blew the Doors Off the Hinges...!!...... My music Teacher always told me. If the song gives you goose bumps , it was a damn good one at that. What an amazing singer for being 47 yrs young !!

The 207 winner was a mobile phone salesman named Paul Potts. For his audition he sang Nessum Dorma which was made globally famous by Luciano Pavarotti.

Potts has made two albums and appeared all over the world - including the Oprah Show

Britain's Got Talent is a much better show than American Idol.  The U.K. has some amazingly talented people.   On today's Yahoo, there is a video clip of yet another singer an Anglo Indian named Shaheen who is just a kid.  Last year, there was Paul Potts and Charlie Green.  Charlie sang "Summer Wind" by Frank Sinatra.  He's English and Filipino.

Susan's story is great because she represents the average person who triumphs.  I admire her courage and honesty.  She lives alone with a cat and has apparently never had a boyfriend or even been kissed.  Imagine being 48 years old and never been with a man!  Cry Me a River is an appropriate song.  She's probably cried much in her life.  The lonely Saturday nights, the dates that never came and the men that never looked at her.  Life is finally turning around for Susan Boyle.

I love the way she demolishes that arrogant audience. They all stood up for her after all that looking-down-at-her attitude. Never judge a book by its cover!!!

I love this video so much that I saved it in my favorites in YouTube. I hope she wins the season but if not she already won the hearts of 38M+ people all over the world. :cheer:

I am a HUGE fan of Susan Boyle.  She cared for her mother who died last year & now lives alone w/ her pets.  Everyone expected her to fail - including me.  So nice to be proven jaded & wrong & be touched by her beautiful voice & talent :)
