the blonde driver in Canada

A young blonde was just awarded her drivers license.  She was at the mall when it was announced that the mall would be shutting down soon due to a horrific snowstorm that was occurring.
 
The blonde gathered up her purchases and headed to her car. She remembered that her father told her in a snow storm the best way to get home safely is to follow a snow plow.  She soon found one and began to follow it.  
 
After about an hour the snow plow stopped and the driver got out and approached the blonde to ask her what she was doing.
 
She proudly replied that her father told her to be safe in a snow storm she should follow a snow plow.  The driver looked at her puzzled and said,

"Ok...but when I'm done the south side of the parking lot, I'll be heading to the north".
